Leading The Future Of Space
Since the drive to space began, we’ve provided end-to-end, holistic support to critical aspects of space and geospatial operations. We have a history in launch logistics; satellite operations; assured positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT); domain awareness; and geospatial intelligence. In looking to the future, we’re unlocking the full potential of space by combining our experience with industry-leading satellite integration.
We’re connecting space with cloud-enabled, all-domain solutions that accelerate the warfighter’s decision chain.
For the past 30 years, we’ve been tracking and analyzing the evolving space environment from low to high Earth orbit. Our history and proven track record of rapid approval, deployment, and support for national and coalition capabilities are foundational.
Through the Parsons Ground Operations Center as a Service (GOCaaS), we perform unclassified satellite contacts using the OrbitXchange network. GOCaaS is a 24/7 operations center with experienced spacecraft operators, power backup, and redundant hardware. This includes next-pass anomaly contact scheduling capabilities and automated contacts with built-in cybersecurity, reducing the cost of satellite ground operations. GOCaaS ensures telemetry tracking and command (TT&C) and mission data delivery to a single data lake or customer operations center. It also guarantees real-time space situational awareness for each constellation.
We’re the prime contractor for the Department of Defense’s (DoD’s) small satellite integration efforts through our Launch Manifest Systems Integration program with the US Air Force. Our first launch integration was successfully completed in August 2019 on the ULA Atlas V. The integration—from concept to delivery—took a record five months compared to the years other space operations normally take.
We’re a proven provider in small satellite development, with over a decade of experience advancing missions in the Intelligence Community. Our team is actively producing small satellite sensor payloads, defining superior engineering skills with miniaturization and digital circuit printing techniques.
For the past three decades, we’ve been leading the Space Domain Awareness mission for the US Government and allied partners. Our subject matter experts can develop and field customized tools for the mission, supporting multiple applications. They achieve this through highly detailed analysis, decision support systems, machine learning algorithms, and visualization capabilities. Software engineers and developers stand ready to support future Space Domain Awareness and threat protection missions. They face a wide variety of operational challenges to the space ecosystem, including direct-ascent anti-satellite (ASAT), co-orbital ASAT, directed energy weapons, missile warning threat applications, and satellite breakup notification/alerting. Additional challenges are space object characterization, space order of battle, pin-point orbit determination, satellite propagation/conjunction, course-of-action planning/assessment, and space domain visualization.
We’re leading the architecture protection for the development arm of the US Space Force. Our expertise with network security, architecture resiliency, and continuous Authority to Operate practices are key to network infrastructure-protection strategies. We have years of experience with cloud engineering, cloud architecture, and refactoring legacy systems operating efficiently in the cloud. Significant cost savings of up to 87 percent are achieved over running applications on dedicated bare metal.
We’re harnessing cutting-edge technology to bring the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to the space industry. Designed to meet the unique challenges of space-based operations, our innovation provides reliable, accurate, and real-time automated insights for government and commercial space missions. We identify patterns, predict outcomes, and provide actionable insights through advanced algorithms trained on vast amounts of data. Our capabilities include AI/ML processing of satellite telemetry for the following purposes:
- Trend analysis for failure prediction onboard satellite or within ground infrastructure
Threat detection (adversary or satellite proximity) by monitoring radio-frequency (RF) interference, star sensor obscuration, solar panel shading, propulsion impingement on the spacecraft detected by onboard accelerometers, or other events that might not register in standard telemetry point limit checking
Onboard operating system or software malware monitoring through the use of products like Dazzler
Monitoring and control of RF spectrum to avoid jamming and spoofing, and the ability to adjust frequency and waveforms to operate through a hostile RF environment to support satellite control, communications, PNT, etc.
Onboard sensor data processing to identify specific targets within Earth observation (EO) or infrared spectroscopy (IR) data such as hypersonics to provide tracking and targeting data to land-, air-, and sea-based systems
Multisystem data processing to provide course-of-action (COA) recommendations
Space constellation AI-based mission management (AI-MM) and automated satellite operations using advanced optimization algorithms
Network monitoring over mesh architectures, vulnerability discovery, and reverse engineering
Through our artificial intelligence and machine learning technology, we’ve aggregated and collected geospatial intelligence, made it actionable, and put it into the hands of operators/analysts so they can make timely decisions. Our advanced ISR hardware solutions include the PeARL family of sensors. By combining camera and optic-lens technologies with PeARL Flash software, we’ve yielded precise, high-resolution 2D/3D aerial imagery.
