Engineering
We are a leading-edge provider of innovative and high value engineering and integrated design and delivery solutions, providing exceptional value to our clients. We have a full range of design and engineering capabilities, with professionals that span the full complement of standard engineering disciplines, along with specialty disciplines that include systems engineering; cybersecurity; and environmental, nuclear, energy, and instrumentation and control systems engineering.
We are a leading advocate for using innovative virtual design processes that avoid spatial conflicts in facilities and establish firm cost and schedule data. We use a mature building information modeling environment to achieve a truly integrated project delivery. We have an extensive virtual design and engineering systems group experienced in 4D modeling, which provides scheduling data; 5D modeling, which provides cost data; and 6D modeling, which integrates facilities management data.
Trusted Partner
We have an extensive history of providing the U.S. Air Force with quality architectural-engineering services, including over $100M in Air Force Civil Engineer Center task orders in the last decade. Additionally, we provide the National Nuclear Security Administration with experienced staff and widely varied technical resources to achieve its objectives, which include improved alignment of projects; development of efficient contract and project management processes, systems, and procedures; and consistent and transparent cost, schedule, and technical best practices. Our team consistently applies accepted best practices to minimize project risk and implement proactive risk mitigation.
Planning
For more than 75 years, we have provided effective and innovative solutions to federal clients that support successful growth and development of infrastructure.
We have worked with our Department of Defense (DoD) clients to develop numerous master plans that align with sustainable and energy-efficient installation development throughout the U.S., Europe, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Japan, Panama, and Puerto Rico. DoD is one of the world’s largest builders, owners, and operators of infrastructure, responsible for managing millions of acres of land and billions of dollars’ worth of facilities and infrastructure worldwide. Effective long-term development and management of these resources is crucial and requires meticulous master planning. In addition to DoD, we have worked master planning projects, including classified assignments, for other federal agencies and departments. This joint-service, multinational experience results in an unequaled team capability and level of experience.
Program Support
Our knowledgeable team of planners, engineers, and cost estimators provides comprehensive services related to project programming. We have extensive experience conducting facility requirements analysis workshops and have developed detailed force structure analysis for military clients, translating this into facility requirements and detailed concept plans for integrating standard designs into the smallest possible footprint.
We have extensive experience performing business case, engineering, and alternatives analyses for federal clients, such as the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, and the Offices of Environmental Management and Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. By employing consistent analysis methodology and maintaining an objective viewpoint, we have delivered unbiased, decision-grade analyses of the costs, schedules, and risks of project alternatives for a wide range of facility types.
Delivering A Resilient Infrastructure
The sustainment of our national security relies upon secure and resilient critical infrastructure. We have worked with our clients to manage risks and achieve security and resilience outcomes for critical infrastructure. We utilize an integrated and collaborative approach, inclusive of vulnerability assessments and post-assessment follow up measures, to ensure that physical and cyber critical infrastructure remain secure and resilient, with vulnerabilities reduced, consequences minimized, threats identified, and response and recovery adequately planned.
Complex Infrastructure And Integrated Delivery
As a global solutions provider, our work takes us into harsh and rugged terrains. Whether it’s the freezing temperatures and volcanic rock of Antarctica or the remote, highly corrosive, humid and salt-laden environment of the Marshall Islands, we’re delivering complex infrastructure solutions to federal government agencies anywhere in the world.
In the Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, we’re repairing the Bucholz Army Airfield, a highly strategic national asset for the U.S. military in the Pacific theatre. Our expertise allows us to complete this complex infrastructure project consisting of replacing components of the airfield, including the major runways, taxiways, and parking aprons as well as installing various utilities, while ensuring there is no impact to the installation’s operational requirements.

In Antarctica, our team is designing new facilities and executing construction in the field with both internal resources and subcontractor personnel at McMurdo Station. Built on bare volcanic rock, the station serves as a hub for scientific research, logistical support, and as a base for field operations. The infrastructure modernization project will ensure McMurdo Station remains a viable platform for supporting world class science facilities for the next 50 years.
Our work in Kwajalein and Antarctica are just two examples of how we leverage our resources and capabilities to guide customers through planning, design, construction, and post-construction challenges on complex, multi-site, multi-phase programs.
Industrial Base Modernization
We provide engineering and design solutions that help the U.S. Army meet mission requirements and minimize environmental impacts. We understand the critical role a modern Organic Industrial Base (OIB) has in supporting evolving military needs and stand ready to continue leveraging our expertise in complex infrastructure and environmental projects to contribute to the Department of the Army’s base modernization mission.
We work to develop tailored solutions that meet the requirements of our clients’ complex challenges. The transformational modernization solutions we deliver incorporate health, safety, and building safeguards through design and automation, all with the goal of supporting a resilient, safe, environmentally compliant, and effective OIB that meets current and future ammunition and weapons platform requirements.
Delivering Solutions That Meet the Mission
Our team is equipped to deliver industrial base modernization projects from start to finish including:
- Planning and Design
- Engineering
- Equipment design and Procurement
- Program Integration and Management
- Building-out and Commissioning
Our ability to deliver solutions is why the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) selected us for a new Energetic Waste Incinerator and Contaminated Waste Processor design-build delivery project at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant (RFAAP) in Radford, Virginia. This project will help USACE minimize environmental impacts of hazardous energetic waste streams from munitions productions at RFAAP through a new facility that modernizes waste disposal and mitigates emissions, helping to protect the environment.
