We work with our clients to understand their capital program needs and establish a preliminary program scope definition. We also identify key stakeholders and establish KPIs and performance analytics to ensure that the program is successful. Our program management services are structured around five key areas:

Governance & Delivery

We develop a management and governance structure, delivery framework, and organizational chart with clear roles and standard operating policies and procedures to ensure that everyone involved in the project is aligned and working towards the same goals.

Procurement & Commercial Governance
Design/Construction Management
Stakeholder Management

Airport Mobility Solutions

Systems and Integrations

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)

Between taxis, rideshares, buses, shuttles, friends, and family, there’s always traffic in and around an airport. We combine our airport infrastructure expertise with our innovative intelligent transportation systems (ITS) to deliver predictive analytics, integrated corridor management, and connected and autonomous vehicle integration to make busy roads smarter and safer.

Communications-Based Train Control

Automated People Movers

From design, construction support, and construction/project management, our aviation expertise extends to automated people movers (APM), internal transit systems that transport passengers between terminals, rental car facilities, and public transportation systems within the city. These airport transit systems make it easier to navigate between terminals, reduce traffic congestion, and provide a more predictable and reliable commute to and from the airport.

Intermodal Integration

Alleviating airport ground access traffic requires an integrated multimodal and intermodal transportation system that considers the unique characteristics of airport trips, such as time of arrivals and departures, vehicle occupancy, origin and destination of travelers, and traveler baggage. We understand an airport’s unique travel patterns and have extensive experience planning, designing, and implementing different modes of transportation in an integrated and seamless network.

Digitizing Aviation Infrastructure

Airports function as small cities—but what if we could make those cities smarter?

To help guide our clients through their digitalization journey, our Digital Advisors develop a holistic roadmap with a focus on strategy, technology enablement, enhanced operations, and impactful outcomes. With a digital strategy and governance plan in place, clients can leverage data aggregated by design, construction, and commissioning teams to optimize current and future projects.

Our team also embeds intelligence into every phase of the aviation lifecycle by implementing cutting-edge technology solutions for terminal, landside, and airside projects.

Sustainable Firefighting Foam

Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) is a firefighting foam that contains per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a class of chemicals used in countless products across industries. PFAS are toxic and break down slowly, leading to its dangerous accumulation in the environment.

In May 2023, following the mandate ordering U.S. military airports to phase out AFFF containing PFAS, the Federal Aviation Administration published its “Aircraft Firefighting Foam Transition Plan” laying out an initial path for civilian airports. By transitioning to a safer alternative, airports can reduce the risk of exposure to workers, passengers, the surrounding communities, and environment.

The National Defense Authorization Act of 2020 mandates U.S. military airports remove and dispose AFFF containing PFAS by October 2024.

We have planned and executed 71 AFFF transitions in the United States, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. We bring a network of service providers for all aspects of the AFFF transition process to safely and efficiently remove unwanted legacy AFFF, dispose of it in accordance with regulatory guidance, and replace it with non-fluorinated foam. Our experienced team can guide both military and civilian airports from assessment to implementation, ensuring a seamless and effective transition.

Our comprehensive approach includes:

  1. Assessing the airport’s current use of firefighting foam and its impact on the environment and public health.
  2. Identifying the most suitable alternative firefighting foam that meets the airport’s needs while minimizing the use of PFAS.
  3. Developing a transition plan that includes the training of airport personnel on the new foam, updating equipment and infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Implementing the transition plan in a phased manner to minimize disruption to airport operations while ensuring the safety of passengers, employees, and the environment.

Global Reach, Local Presence

We have a rich history of combining international expertise with regional strength to deliver innovative infrastructure projects that bring people closer together. We’ve planned, designed, constructed, managed, enhanced, and sustained terminal, landside, and airside infrastructure for over 450 airports in 40 countries.

With our extensive international project experience, we are experts in meeting global agency standards in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

EMEA: Our aviation experts have been at the forefront of some of the largest aviation projects in the region, beginning with the Dhahran airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1958. Since then, we have delivered major projects such as Hamad International in Doha, Abu Dhabi International in the UAE, and we are currently working on the Kuwait and Sharjah International airports.
