On this day last year, Parsons became a public company for the second time in our 75-year history. While that decision was years in the making, the previous 365 days have demonstrated that it was absolutely the right one.

In the past year, we have experienced exponential growth across our critical infrastructure and federal solutions business segments, completed the acquisition of QRC, and augmented our strategy to boost transactional revenue through the sale of products like PeARL, iNET™, ICS, and now DetectWise™.

All that business success, while remaining focused on Parsons’ true differentiators: our people.

In looking back on the past several years, there’s an inexplicable pattern that connects everything: choices.

The success that we have experienced as a business – and as employees and individuals – are the result of choices and actions that come about by uniting talented organizations and individuals.

I am always taken back when looking at the economic and technological success occurring in developed countries and amazed by the advancements many other nations have made in transportation, housing, commercial buildings, high-speed rail, and other areas. Things that Parsons is helping build.

Better tomorrows do not come about by chance.

They come about by people who make deliberate choices and understand that those choices bring opportunity and consequences.

Reflecting on the present, I see great opportunity to build upon the success of our past year and the lessons learned from our victories and challenges.

At our core, we are a team of builders, modernizing the world’s digital and physical infrastructure related to data collection, transmission and processing, space exploration, intelligence gathering and processing, transportation, water, wastewater, and cyber and physical security.

We are also a team of explorers, pushing the envelopes of science and technology to expand our knowledge of the environment, space, life systems, bio and nanotechnology, and the deep ocean amongst many others.

Our mission is Delivering A Better World and that will, in turn, create more education opportunity, healthier living, a cleaner environment, a more robust and sustainable economy creating more and higher-level jobs, and a higher level of belief that tomorrow will be an even better day than the day before.

So, let’s work together – government, business, academia, and individuals – to build a brighter future and continue our legacy of building and exploration.

Thank you for making our first year as a public company an excellent one.

The best is yet to come.
