OrbitXchange™ Prime Antenna Network
The OrbitXchange™ Prime Antenna Network is used to augment our commercial partner networks under OrbitXchange™ and to validate space-to-ground link settings, performance and prototype testing with our SDR Mission Link Modem (MLM), and the fielding of a Phased Array Fed Reflector (PAFR) antenna. Connected through OrbitXchange™, our Prime Antenna Network enables our customers to schedule contacts, maintain constellation schedules, and transfer data in a secure environment, real-time 24/7.
Supporting Our Customers
Parsons provides our customers with integrated solutions by offering antenna time at superior locations for polar orbits of LEO, MEO, and GEO spacecraft setup, initialization, and teardown. Our six antennas, located at Albuquerque, NM and Prudhoe Bay, AK, or deployable to brown or green site location determined by customer requirements are supported by Parsons’ products and include our MLMs which provide state-of-the-art digital signal processing components to deliver a full range of uplink and downlink RF-to-IP transmission and data processing capabilities through the OrbitXchange Prime Antenna Network.


Antenna As A Service Support
Our subject matter experts can provide Antenna as a Service capability, assisting with frequency licensing for spacecraft vehicles, antenna mission onboarding, launch support, and mission operations onboarding that will allow Parsons to provide mission planning, scheduling, and data processing using the OrbitXchange Prime Antenna Network.
Advanced Cybersecurity
Each of our antenna sites house a firewall, Windows workstation, and modems which are hardened to NIST 800-171. We are constantly evolving and upgrading our cybersecurity stack to stay in front of the emerging cyberthreats. Each ground site is monitored, using its own unique OpenRMF package, to maintain compliance.
Connected Through OrbitXchange™
The web GUI for the modem provides an architecture overview of the modules used in a particular desktop configuration. It shows the connection between modules and the overall data flow from baseband to RF, making it straightforward to drill down into individual components for control and status parameters. The SRP Modem module also provides plots and analysis tools to display the receiver IQ diagram as well as a spectral plot. The Web GUI allows the user to interact with the modem in a simple way, enhancing the capabilities of the OrbitXchange Prime Antenna Network.
Through OrbitXchange™, we are able to leverage available excess time on existing antennas to provide a solution that is automated, cybersecure, and tested with on-orbit assets in an operational environment.

S-band Phased Array Fed Reflector (PAFR)
The S-band Phased Array Receive and Transmit Antenna Node (SPARTAN) System couples the emerging technologies in multi-beam phased array antennas with a traditional parabolic antenna, providing the capability for tracking up to eight (8) independent targets within a 20 deg field of view. This non-standard capability enables the antenna to perform multiple roles beyond the typical satellite antenna. The multi-beam capability drives the need for a set of ground equipment, which includes Parsons MLM systems, to interface with the antenna and support multiple, simultaneous data paths. This system will be integrated with Parsons OrbitXchange C2 and Optimyz scheduler to maintain an agnostic user experience, furthering the flexibility of the OrbitXchange Prime Antenna Network.
