Leveraging AI And Machine Learning To Outsmart The Adversary

We apply AI/ML at all stages: detect, track, identify, and defeat. Our AI/ML applications include classification of unknown RF signatures and high-level decision aids to identify the optimal effector and course of action given the threat and applicable rules-of-engagement. In addition, we improve automated tracking of potential targets through advanced integration of AI/ML object detection and classification models with sensor controllers keeping eyes on target regardless of clutter or atmospheric conditions.

CUAS_FINAL_1_18_23

We provide full life cycle support for our customers’ CUAS needs and empower you to stay ahead of rapidly evolving threats

  • Threat analysis and requirements development.
  • Continuous threat evaluation and modernization.
  • Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), enabling the solution to be elastic and to scale (additional sensors easily added to increase protected area coverage).
  • Continuous development and integration to meet rapidly evolving threats.
  • Cyber security measures integrated and continuously updated.
  • Operations and sustainment support.

We test, evaluate, and integrate a wide array of technologies, including sensors and effectors, against the full range of Group 1, 2, and 3 UAS threats. We continue to invest in advancing CUAS technology through our CUAS Center of Excellence and state-of-the-art laboratories.

  • We specialize in developing multi-modal solutions to detect, track, and identify potential hostile UAS activities.
  • We provide unprecedented accuracy and fidelity to the operator by correlating and fusing multiple sensor modalities into a single integrated common operating picture.
  • Our open architecture approach enables us to leverage the best sensor technologies available to meet each mission’s specific requirements.

A major challenge with developing, integrating, testing, and training CUAS systems is the ability to work against high-end (Group 3), complex (drone swarms), and emerging (dark drones) threats.

Our Digital Threat, Testing, and Training Environment (DT3E) leverages digital twins of sensors and threats linked to the C2 system to support everything from:

  • CONOPS/TTP development
  • Testing of sensor integration
  • Scenario response planning
  • Operator training and proficiency testing

We continuously enhance DT3E with new sensors, threats, and effectors to keep pace with evolving UAS and counter-UAS technologies. By working within this digital environment, we can address new technologies more rapidly without the need for significant investment in expensive range time and associated requirements.

The CUAS Center Of Excellence

Experts, technology, infrastructure, and partnerships converge at our CUAS Center of Excellence, enabling us to deliver innovative solutions that equip you to face UAS challenges of today and tomorrow.

Test and Integration Facilities

Located in Summit Point, West Virginia, the Center allows for testing and integration of radar and radio frequency (RF) detection and mitigation capabilities

  • Integrate and test solutions without the scheduling and logistics challenges associated with using a national range.
  • By combining the test and integration facilities in a common location, our engineers can rapidly iterate on solutions to the unique challenges of CUAS for you.

Operating UAS

We can operate Group 1 and small Group 2 UAS and simulated Group 3, using aircraft, along with both manned and unmanned ground vehicles and human elements against a variety of CUAS sensors and effectors.

Technology Integration Center (TIC)

The Technology Integration Center (TIC) includes a state-of-the-art command center and a micro manufacturing and integration lab.

  • The command center has access to data from sensors on the range and the digital twin simulated sensors from our DT3E capability.
  • The simulated digital environment enables us to model actual installations for both planning and CONOPS/TTP development and operator training and system familiarization in the context of actual deployed environments.
