On July 9, Chantilly, VA-based Parsons Corporation announced that government and industry executive Roger Mason, PhD, has joined the company as senior vice president, effective July 8, 2024.
Mason’s deep experience in the national security sector includes leadership inside the Intelligence Community, where he served as the first assistant director of national intelligence for systems and resource analyses. He most recently served as the president of Peraton’s Space and Intelligence sector; a $2 billion business focused on delivering hardware and software solutions for the national security space, civil space, defense, and intelligence.

Mason’s 30-year career also includes senior executive leadership positions at Noblis, General Dynamics and the Institute for Defense Analyses. He holds a PhD in engineering physics from the University of Virginia, an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and an MS in engineering physics from the University of Virginia, among other distinguished qualifications. His contributions have been recognized with several prestigious awards including the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, and he has served on numerous defense and intelligence-focused boards and advisory committees.
