Parsons Corporation, a globally recognized technology-driven solutions provider, has secured a substantial $21 million task order from the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Infrastructure. The order, forming a part of the broader $160 million ceiling-value Enterprise Construction Management Services (ECMS) contract, is set to span across three years.
Parsons’ Role in LANL’s Infrastructure Development
The task order mandates Parsons to offer its expertise in design and construction management support at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The corporation is expected to bring its proficiency in project management, control, and construction to the forefront as it oversees more than $4 billion worth of capital projects at LANL. This responsibility extends to monitoring various facets of the projects including design, construction, environmental, safety, health, and quality aspects, while simultaneously advising the federal government.
A Continued Partnership with the Department of Energy
Parsons’ association with the Department of Energy is a long-standing one, spanning over 70 years, and the latest contract solidifies its position as a reliable construction management support for the NNSA. Jon Moretta, president of Engineered Systems for Parsons, expressed the company’s commitment to leveraging its expertise to enhance the NNSA’s infrastructure.
Parsons has been serving the NNSA since 2012 through various ECMS contracts and has been a key player in supporting the LANL Project Management Office since 2014. The most recent contract, awarded in June 2022, underpins the corporation’s sustained role in bolstering the NNSA’s infrastructural capabilities.
