Parsons has secured a $55 million contract from Space Systems Command to help operate and integrate satellites for missile warning, tracking and defense.

The contractor will perform integrated ground and operations services in support of the first increment of SSC’s medium Earth orbit satellite constellation for tracking missile threats, the U.S. Space Force arm said Tuesday.

The Resilient Missile Warning/Missile Tracking MEO constellation is planned to provide high-fidelity overhead persistent infrared sensing tools to defend against traditional and hypersonic ballistic missiles.

“SSC is planning to put at least six MTC Epoch 1 missile-warning satellites into MEO by late 2026,” said Lt. Col. Raydon Imbo, materiel leader, SSC resilient missile warning, missile tracking MEO ground systems.

The command will integrate the constellation’s initial ground capabilities at the MEO Space Operations Center in Colorado.
