Parsons Disinfecting Millions of Masks for COVID-19 Relief

CENTREVILLE, Va. (April 29, 2020) – In the global fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19), Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) is working with Battelle to operate the Battelle CCDS Critical Care Decontamination SystemTM that will disinfect N-95 masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) in support of pandemic relief efforts across the United States.

Parsons is immediately mobilizing field crews to operate units that use a hydrogen peroxide mist to decontaminate masks. Each unit can disinfect up to 80,000 masks per day allowing the masks to potentially be reused up to 20 times.

“Never has our corporate purpose of delivering a better world been more important or more necessary than it is today,” said Jon Moretta, executive vice president, industrial market for Parsons. “We are supporting the immediate deployment of this decontamination technology to where it’s needed most, helping protect the medical community and first responders as they care for patients.”
