Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) is honored to host the 12th Annual Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) Golf Outing at Ruggles Golf Course, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Md., on September 12 at 9:00 a.m.
Previously hosted by Polaris Alpha until its acquisition by Parsons in 2018, the outing is one of TAPS’ largest fundraising activities, contributing more than $710,000 to the families of America’s fallen soldiers over the last 12 years. The 501(c)(3) charity offers support to families whose loved ones lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces or as a result of his or her service.
“For more than a decade, the Annual TAPS Golf Outing has been dedicated to providing support to TAPS. We are grateful to Parsons for helping us to care for all those grieving the loss of a military loved one,” said Bonnie Carroll, TAPS President and Founder and 2015 Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. “Supporters like Parsons increase our capacity to reach all those military survivors grieving a fallen military hero and provide them with compassionate care at their time of greatest need.”
Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and support through national peer support networks, and grieving resources at no cost to impacted families. Over this period, the organization has assisted more than 85,000 surviving families, casualty officers, and caregivers.
