Parsons announces the appointment of Brent Harvey as Chief Risk Officer. Mr. Harvey will report to Mike Kolloway, General Counsel, and will be responsible for Parsons’ enterprise, portfolio, and project risk functions—functions previously managed by Tom Roell, Vice Chairman, Chief Risk Advisor. Mr. Roell has announced plans to retire later this year and will provide interim advisory support to Parsons.
Mr. Harvey has more than 35 years of industry experience, including more than 25 years with Parsons. During his tenure with Parsons, he has completed assignments in sector management, corporate finance, business development, and project management/engineering of large environmental remediation programs involving hazardous and radioactive waste materials. His most recent position was as Corporate Chief Audit Executive. Prior to that, he was Business Development Director of Parsons’ environmental and water infrastructure business unit with responsibility for global sales and marketing.

Mr. Harvey holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University, a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Virginia Tech, and a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. He also served on active duty in the U.S. Navy Nuclear Program, led by the legendary Admiral Hyman G. Rickover. Mr. Harvey is a licensed engineer in two states and is based in Parsons’ Charlotte, NC, office.
