Brett Jones
Brett Jones recently joined Parsons as a Vice President, Business Development, supporting major new business pursuits in Southern California. The addition of Mr. Jones to the corporation’s team builds upon an already strong infrastructure practice within the company. He will focus mainly on alternative delivery and traditionally procured projects in the transportation market.
Mr. Jones has 28 years of civil engineering experience and a comprehensive background in the transportation infrastructure market, including highway/roadway planning and final design, civil site development, railroad grade separations, airports, transit planning and final design, major rail stations, and high-speed rail.
Mr. Jones started his career working for a contractor in the 1980s. With design-build experience dating back to the Orange County Toll Roads in the early 1990s, and with more recent experience supporting Los Angeles World Airport’s (LAWA’s) program management on the automated people mover procurement documents for LAWA’s Landside Access Modernization Program, Mr. Jones offers knowledge of the Southern California infrastructure market and a focus on constructability regarding project final design.
Before joining Parsons, Mr. Jones worked on projects with many Southern California agencies, including the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the Orange County Transportation Authority, the San Diego Association of Governments, the Riverside County Transportation Commission, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (formerly SANBAG), the Coachella Valley Association of Governments, Caltrans (Districts 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, and 12), and the City of Los Angeles. He held key roles on various Los Angeles transit projects, 11 design-build projects, and one construction manager/general contractor project—totaling more than $6 billion in construction value on completed projects and including many that ranked as some of the largest design-build projects in Southern California.
Mr. Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, CA, and is a licensed professional civil engineer in California. He is a member of the Construction Management Association of America and the Women’s Transportation Seminar. He is based in Parsons’ Irvine, CA, office.
