PASADENA, CA (March 6, 2017) – Parsons announced that Larry Barfield has joined the corporation as Vice President and Capture Manager Leader for its Federal business unit. Federal, a primary business unit of Parsons Corporation, delivers, protects, and sustains critical federal assets across the defense, security, intelligence, environmental, and infrastructure markets worldwide.

Mr. Barfield’s career spans high-profile military, government, and commercial programs with a focus on bringing innovative solutions to complex problems. Prior to joining Parsons, he served as Director of Capture Management for a professional and technical services company serving federal, commercial, and international clients.
Previously, Mr. Barfield worked as Project Engineer, Contracting Officer Technical Representative, and Subject Matter Expert for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR) United States Marine Corps (USMC) Physical Security Branch. His experience includes designing electronic security systems, formulating the worldwide Flightline Security Enhancement Program, and executing the first successful Department of Defense biometric pilot. Prior to his federal government position, Mr. Barfield was a design and field engineer who developed and successfully deployed the first automated forward-looking infrared surveillance system.
