Parsons Welcomes Richard Reis as VP and Infrastructure Manager of the Pacific Northwest Region

PASADENA, CA (January 17, 2017) – Parsons is pleased to announce that Richard Reis has joined the corporation as Vice President and Northwest Regional Manager of the Infrastructure Division, which focuses on bridges, highways, and transit systems. In this position, Mr. Reis will oversee day-to-day operations, including project execution, schedule compliance, quality assurance, staffing, and customer satisfaction.

Mr. Reis comes to Parsons with more than 35 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering, construction, and project management, including a strong background in operations, business development, strategic planning, customer relations, and team building. In addition to managing hundreds of projects in the United States and Canada, he has also served as the Principal-in-Charge or Executive Sponsor on several large, complex projects. Mr. Reis has worked with public and private sector customers, including the Washington Department of Transportation, the Port of Tacoma, the U.S. Navy, Amazon, and Boeing. He has a strong background in alternative project delivery, including design-build.

Mr. Reis is experienced in initiating leadership development programs, creating more efficient operational procedures, and recognizing growth potential in various markets. He also brings experience with regulatory agencies such as the Washington Department of Ecology, the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Mr. Reis holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Southern California. He is a registered professional engineer in Washington and Alaska. He previously served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Washington Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies and is affiliated with the Society of American Military Engineers. He is based in Seattle, WA.
