Parsons to Host 41st Annual Children’s Holiday Party
On Thursday, December 15, 2016, and for the 41st consecutive year, Parsons will host its annual Children’s Holiday Party at its Pasadena corporate headquarters. More than 100 children from Five Acres in Altadena and Hillsides and Rosemary Children’s Services in Pasadena will participate in the party, which will include a holiday performance curated for the 14th consecutive year by Rachael Worby, MUSE/IQUE Artistic Director and Conductor. The musical performance “Holiday Doo-Wop” will feature high energy harmonies from Street Corner Renaissance (SCR), a five-man Los Angeles-based A ’Capella group who competed in season 4 of NBC’s “The Sing Off” and placed in the top four. Maurice Kitchen, Torrance Brannon Reese, Kwame Alexander, Anthony “Tony” Snead, and Charles “Sonny” Banks will entertain the children with their infectious spirit and interactive street corner experience, singing a mix of hits from old-school to modern-day.
Tom Roell, Parsons’ Vice Chairman and Chief Risk Advisor, will welcome the children as well as Maestra Worby and SCR. Following the performance, the children will be able to have their pictures taken in a photo booth and will be treated to hot dogs, hamburgers, tacos, popcorn, and cookies. A special guest from the North Pole will also be on hand.
Each year, Parsons employees personally donate gifts to make the holiday season happier for numerous children. This year, with the help of its talented team of professionals, Parsons will distribute more than 240 gift cards to children from Five Acres, Hathaway-Sycamores, Hillsides, and Rosemary Children’s Services.
Credentialed journalists are invited to attend and must register in advance by contacting Parsons’ corporate Marketing & Communications department: (626) 440-4590, telephone; [email protected], email. *Please note that children’s faces cannot be photographed.
