Parsons Opens Technology-Focused Office in San Antonio

PASADENA, CA (October 31, 2016) – Parsons, a technology-driven engineering services firm, celebrated the opening of its new office in San Antonio, TX, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 27, 2016. Attending the event were Parsons Vice President Ken Branch; Richard Perez, President and CEO of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce; and Sharon O’Malley Burg, CEO of O’Malley Burg Consulting.

The 14,000-ft² office features state-of-the-art facilities designed to meet the growing mission requirements of the firm’s federal and commercial customers and the increased demand for cybersecurity services in the San Antonio area. Included are 4K visualization conference and huddle rooms, which enable teams of architects, engineers, and designers to collaborate with customers and partners around the globe via phone, video, and virtual reality. In addition, the office features 2,600 ft² of secure project space to address the security requirements of customers in the intelligence community.

Parsons has a 20‑year history of local support for San Antonio projects, including serving as architecture engineering integrator for $3.2 billion in infrastructure planning, design, and construction under a Base Realignment and Closure contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Significant projects supported under this contract include the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) and Medical Education and Training Campus (METC), the Department of Defense’s largest hospital. The firm is currently supporting area projects under a worldwide design and construction services contract with the Air Force and providing construction management services for the San Antonio Water System’s Brackish Water Desalination Plant, which is part of a program to meet San Antonio’s water needs for the next 50 years.
