Parsons Appoints Salhi as Roads and Structures Division Manager, Middle East Africa

PASADENA, CA (March 4, 2016) – Parsons is pleased to announce the appointment of Nizar Salhi as Manager of its Middle East Africa (MEA) Roads & Structures Division. In his new role, Mr. Salhi will lead the continued growth and development of the division’s business and operations.

“Nizar has extensive experience in all aspects of civil and transportation engineering and a proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships that allowed Parsons to grow in different markets and geographies,” said Gary Adams, Parsons Group President. “I am confident his knowledge and skills will be vital as we continue to expand our business in the MEA region.”

Mr. Salhi has been in the MEA region for more than 20 years, where he started his Parsons tenure in Dubai as a Senior Highway Engineer. Since then, he has held the positions of Chief Highway Engineer, Engineering Manager, Project Manager, Vice President and Area Manager for Qatar, and most recently MEA Roads and Highways Sector Manager. Mr. Salhi holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Toledo, OH, and is a registered professional engineer in California.

Parsons has been working in the MEA region for more than 60 years and has offices in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain. Parsons’ portfolio of ongoing work in the region includes major oil and gas projects as well as highways, bridges, rail and transit, airports, ports, water infrastructure, plus hospitals, public schools, universities, mosques, and other public buildings.
