Do you enjoy being versatile and working in team-oriented environments utilizing your exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Within this role, you will:
— Support Project Leads in the delivery of projects, including financial tracking, monitoring schedule and cost performance, document control, forecasting, progress reporting and invoicing, Microsoft project schedule updates, and document control
— Support the Regional Director and Market Leads in pursuit of projects and development of proposal documents
Do you have a desire to work on creating innovative, practical solutions to various infrastructure projects out of our new Halifax office. Within this role, you will:
— Principal structural designer and responsible for the structural discipline in major bridge design and rehabilitation projects
— Technical mentorship of junior and intermediate engineers
— Assist in business development activities and undertake leadership roles in proposal preparation including assistance in developing project methodology, work programs, schedules, budgets
Do you have a strong structural background with extensive and diversified technical knowledge of principles and practices in bridge design and construction. Within this role, you will:
— Lead the preparation of structural design drawings, specifications, and calculation submittals for a range of structural design projects in accordance with all relevant standards
— Responsible for technical mentorship, motivating the team, upskilling talent, and driving efficiencies and creativity in the work we undertake
— Assist in identifying, recruiting and retaining qualified technical personnel
— Assist in business development activities and undertake leadership roles in proposal preparation
— Perform various engineering and design assignments in project related to municipal roads, drainage and utilities, and both design and construction supervision
— Prepare permit documents, quantity calculations, estimates and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to ensure the design/technical reports are accurate
— Assist in business development activities and undertake leadership roles in proposal preparation
Help build and supervise a group of five to ten engineers and design personnel by directing technical engineering assignments and coordinating project staffing assignments. Within this role, you will:
— Manage transportation focused projects and engineering tasks such as geometric design, engineering analyses, and project plan development
— Assist in identifying, recruiting and retaining qualified technical personnel
— Assist in business development activities and undertake leadership roles in proposal preparation
— Be involved in a variety of assignments including due diligence/site evaluations, land use policy reviews, best practices research, planning and community studies, corridor studies, coordinating consultation programs
— Contribute to environmental assessment projects and design assignments for complete streets, transit corridors, active transportation facilities, and public realm designs for important civic investments
— Prepare and support design drawings for bridge engineering purposes, including general arrangement plans, detailed drawings, cross-sections, and steel connection details and reinforcement details
— Develop, implement, and enforce CAD standards and provide production and provide CAD technical support
— Manage and coordinate the daily activities, assignments, and productivity of the CAD needs in the Halifax office with those in other offices
