Our MILVET Team is happy to share that Parsons has recently expanded its Service Desk partnership with Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS). WOS technicians receive support and training to build on skills they learned in the military, healthcare coverage, and college tuition to build their overall career trajectories. We began working with WOS in September 2019 and our latest agreement adds opportunities for veterans working out of the new WOS technology service centers in Dallas and Charlotte.
Our MILVET program creates an environment that recognizes the value of service, enhances our veterans’ careers and success, and builds high-performance teams to ensure high-quality services and projects for our customers. We work to re-establish the esprit de corps and solidarity service members experienced in the military; from our military recruiting team, veteran-focused onboarding programs, internal veteran community-building forum, and enhanced Veteran and Guard/Reserve Member benefits, the focus of the MILVET program is ensuring your success professionally and personally as you navigate this transition.
Our partnership with WOS will provide strategic servicing that will lower costs and create a future pipeline of talent.
WOS has provided organizations with outsourced technical and product support, offering high-quality employment. In the last year, WOS expanded to 65 locations across the country. They provide strategic servicing that will lower costs and create a future pipeline of talent. Currently, 50% of our Service Desk positions are fulfilled by WOS and we’re excited about this expanded partnership that helps open career doors for veterans and continues our commitment to supporting transitioning service members and veterans.

We are grateful for the sacrifices that our nation’s veterans have made in support of our freedom around the world. Partnering with Workforce Opportunity Services increases our internal efficiency while ensuring that our men and women returning from combat have more opportunities to be successful.
We currently employ 1,076 U.S. military veterans around the country. Their service, leadership, and commitment have been invaluable to our corporate goal of supporting global security and building a better world.
The Workforce program has allowed us to quickly grow our support and digital offerings, providing improvement across many IT disciplines. At the same time, WOS gives us a great opportunity to give back to those who have served in the military protecting our country. The additional support and training that the candidates receive from the WOS program allow these candidates to build on the skills they learned in the military and transition them to the civilian workforce.
This is yet another steppingstone in our commitment to creating a better world.
