Raising Funds for Veterans

Pictured left-to-right: Kurt Tripp, SVP and Business Development Manager, Security & Intelligence Division, with Jeffrey C. Horne, IVET CEO, Brigadier General, USA (Retired).

Thank you to the 113 golfers who participated in our 10th Annual Golf Classic for the Institute of Veterans Education and Training (IVET) and the Warrior Canine Connection (WCC). Together, we raised $14,000 to support IVET and $900 to support WCC. All proceeds went directly to IVET and WWC.

IVET educates and places healthy and wounded veterans, reservists, national guardsmen, and their spouses into valuable employment opportunities. It communicates with employers, educators, and local communities to assure quality employment candidates, valuable career paths, continuing education programs, and work-life-family balance options, and promotes overall success as they transition from military service.

WCC enlists recovering warriors in a therapeutic mission of learning to train service dogs for their fellow veterans. Training a service dog for a fellow veteran provides a valuable opportunity for a warrior suffering from psychological injuries to reintegrate into civilian life. As part of their training, warriors have the responsibility to teach the dogs that the world is a safe place. Through that process, they must convince themselves of the same.
