Parsons Celebrates Opening of Denver International Airport’s Commuter Rail Station
PASADENA, CA (April 25, 2016) – On April 22 and 23, Parsons celebrated the opening of Denver International Airport’s (DEN’s) commuter rail station serving the Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) FasTracks University of Colorado A Line, which connects the airport to downtown Denver at Union Station, including six neighborhood stops along the way. Parsons provided program management, design, and construction support services for the DEN Hotel and Transit Center, including the airport’s rail station.
Over the course of the 2 days, an estimated 30,000 people attended grand opening celebrations hosted by DEN—in cooperation with RTD—at the University of Colorado A Line’s DEN Station and the transit center’s open-air plaza, enjoying live music and free train rides.
