Parsons Corporation announced that it has been awarded two contracts worth a combined contract value over $100M to perform program management and design engineering for two Middle East government customers.

Parsons Corporation has won a five-year contract worth US $56 million from Diriyah Company to deliver design and construction supervision services for the second phase of the project in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. The scope covers neighbourhood parks, open spaces, civic buildings, footpaths and more than 55 kilometres of streetscape in the historic Najdi-style mixed-use destination.

The US delegation included senior representatives from major companies such as Amazon, Bechtel, Google, Honeywell, Visa Inc., PepsiCo, Novartis, Parsons Corporation, and Plug and Play.

Richard De La Mare is the Vice President – Project Management Office at Parsons in Riyadh. He previously served as Parsons’ Program Director for King Salman Park in Saudi Arabia.

Faysal Ali, vice-president of design and planning studio at engineering, design and infrastructure firm Parsons, explains that the rise of such projects in the UAE indicates a clear shift towards “people-centric urban design that prioritises quality of life alongside environmental performance”. He, too, points out that such well-designed, functional green spaces offer a range of benefits like fostering biodiversity, improving air quality, reducing rising temperatures, capturing carbon, and making year-round outdoor living in extreme climates a reality.

Parsons Corporation, a global technology-focused defense, intelligence, and infrastructure engineering company, opened a new regional office in Jeddah to strengthen its growth trajectory in Saudi Arabia. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Martin Boson, General Manager of Saudi Arabian Parsons, along with several senior officials, according to the company’s LinkedIn post.
