He has more than 30 years of experience in the engineering and architectural industry, holding leadership positions in project design, project management, operations sales and office administration. Most of his career has been focused on the transportation field serving transit, rail, aviation and highway, while supporting the water, wastewater, and water resources practices in the greater Chicagoland and Midwest regions.

Trenchless Technology | Linking The Perris Valley Pipeline With Microtunneling

The Perris Valley Pipeline project involves a 120-in. microtunnel installed in three drives, totaling 3,000 lf. The northern and southern segments were completed in 2010, but the I-215 crossing was delayed due to extreme groundwater intrusion encountered during construction. These challenging conditions rendered the original design — two drives along a shorter, more direct alignment — infeasible. Parsons Engineering and MWD developed a revised design using three drives to route around the high groundwater zone while navigating existing infrastructure.

Parsons Government Services Inc., Pasadena, California, was awarded a $169,433,270 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of a new ammonium nitrate solution tank farm facility at Holston Army Ammunition Plant. Bids were solicited via the internet with two received. Work will be performed in Kingsport, Tennessee, with an estimated completion date of May 31, 2029.

The Space Force is moving to finally put in place the long-troubled next-generation ground system for its missile warning constellations — with service officials now predicting the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) command and control (C2) system to be fully functioning in 2028. NSTXL, which manages SSC’s Space Enterprise Consortium (SpEC), in November 2023 awarded $9.75 million each to Ball Aerospace (now owned by BAE), Parsons, General Dynamics and Omni Federal for the first phase of the effort.
