Webinar
Overview

Join us on March 13, 2024 for a technical webinar regarding Managing Complex Environmental Sites: Advances in Data Management, Client Engagement, and Community Participation

Background/Objectives

Collecting environmental data can be costly and time consuming, and data must be easily accessible to project stakeholders to maximize value and effectiveness. Most projects include some level of data management, but data management is more than using spreadsheets and lists. Parsons has data scientists, management and visualization systems, and digital tools in place to make data more accessible to project teams, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to enhance decision making and community outreach.

Approach/Activities

Compiling project data from multiple disparate sources into a single platform that is accessible to all team members is essential for making the best use of the data. Using enhanced data management tools allows us to get the most value from our data by transforming it into information. Managing these data, tools, and processes and performing analysis and visualization are collectively known as data science. This presentation showcases Parsons’ data management tools and demonstrates how they have been implemented in several case studies.

Results/Lessons Learned

Data management may mean different things to different people. Participants will come away with a better understanding of the different tools and techniques available to them for managing complex sites, facilitating client engagement, and enhancing community participation.
