John Barker | Corporate VP SH&E | February 22nd 1:30pm-2:30 | John Barker is the Corporate Vice President of SH&E for Parsons Corporation. He leads a global team of Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) professionals to enable operational leaders to implement effective risk management solutions and drive continuous improvements. John holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in safety from Marshall University. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, a Certified Safety Professional and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
Melissa Layfield | National Security and Safety Manager | February 22nd 2:30pm-3:30 | Melissa Layfield is a CSP with 23 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety with 11 years dedicated to safety management for federal construction and environmental remediation projects. She is currently the National Security and Safety Manager for Parsons contract with the FAA that includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing and technical services. She has experience in field investigation and remediation for Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act; Resource Conservation and Recovery Act; and New Jersey Industrial Site Recovery Act projects at various industrial facilities and a large petroleum facility.
