We are a mission-enabler for DoD and other federal agencies
Parsons’ services include environmental planning, compliance, quality, technology, and restoration. We have worked at many U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) installations worldwide and are highly experienced in supporting the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, National Park Service (NPS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and other federal agencies to achieve their environmental goals and mandates, including performance-based requirements, with an emphasis on site cleanup and closure. Our work includes identification, investigation, evaluation, and remediation of surface and subsurface sites contaminated with munitions; and hazardous, toxic, and radiological waste. We are world-renowned for our chemical warfare material and chemical weapons elimination expertise and best-in-class execution performance and risk management, including international deployments in extremely difficult and complex logistical environments.
Innovation for a cleaner and safer environment
Parsons’ investigation and evaluation of contaminated sites often lead to design and remediation. Our experts have developed and tested all types of remediation methods to enable us to determine the most effective and efficient techniques to clean up contaminated soil, water, and air. Given dynamic regulations and priorities, environmental work requires innovative techniques and approaches. For the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), Parsons is the leader in advanced classification, integrating innovative discrimination and geophysical mapping technologies to reduce MMRP costs and expedite site closures. Parsons leverages technology advancements for a cleaner and safer environment, for enhanced performance-based solutions, and to further the mission of our customers, including accelerated/increased site closures and less restrictive property uses and real estate transfers.

Syria Chemical Weapons Elimination Project
Parsons contributed to the successful destruction of a 600-ton cache of Syria’s declared stockpile of lethal chemical agents, completed in August 2014. This project was undertaken with funding from the Nunn-Lugar Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program, administered by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and U.S. Strategic Command Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction.
