DESCRIPTION:Overview\nJoin us for the AFCEA TechNet Augusta Capture The Flag (CTF) event for High School & Middle School participants on August 19\, 2026\, at the Georgia Cyber Center or virtually! This event will be held during the AFCEA TechNet Augusta Conference. \nDetails\nThe Capture the Flag (CTF) will be a jeopardy style event. This CTF will be an IN PERSON or Virtual event and open to all middle and high school students.  Topics covered for this event will include Binary Exploitation\, Reverse Engineering\, Web Exploitation\, Cryptography\, Forensics\, and Security. \nTeams will be limited to FOUR members maximum. Teams with less than FOUR team members\, can annotate “N/A” as the team member on the registration form. \nTeam Integrity: At no time during the conduct of the CTF can teams communicate with each other\, share answers\, provide hints\, or in any way assist another CTF team with any of the CTF Challenges. Doing so would constitute an Integrity Violation and will result in your team being disqualified from the competition. Each individual team is expected to navigate each challenge with the knowledge and skills of the 4-team members registered on that team. \nHardware Recommendations \n– 8GB RAM\n– 60GB free disk space \nSoftware Recommendations \n– VMWare or VirtualBox\n– Kali Linux x86 (32-bit) VM (may be downloaded at www.kali.org)\n– Allocate 4GB RAM to this VM.\n– Make sure Wine is installed and working.\n– Make sure Wireshark is installed and working\, go on and preconfigure your favorite filter options\n– Many reverse engineering challenges work better on this architecture of VM\n– Kali Linux 64-bit VM (Optional for use\, but download and have ready just in case.)\n– Discord\, for use on host machine for communication during the event. DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe TAPS Golf Outing has raised more than $1 million for the Families of America’s Fallen. Founded out of tragedy in 1994\, TAPS has established itself as the front-line resource to the families and loved ones of our military and veterans. TAPS provides comfort and care through comprehensive services and programs\, including peer-based emotional support\, casework assistance\, connections to community-based care\, and grief and trauma resources. \nTournament Info\nA continental breakfast and special buffet lunch will be served. Shotgun start at 9 a.m.\, with an 18-hole four-person scramble format.
