Mitigating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is an important part of long-term climate sustainability. \nApproach/Activities\nMajor sources or GHG emissions are orphan oil and gas wells\, landfills\, and industrial plants. Utilizing innovative technology\, we locate\, identify\, and quantify GHG emissions rates to aid prioritizing sites for remedial action. Our internal research and development team has developed and installed novel biofilter media that efficiently oxidizes methane to reduce its GHG potential. \nResults/Lessons Learned\nMethane quantification is a critical component of ranking point source emissions to maximize project benefits\, and methane biofilters are an innovative solution to treat waste gases where remediation is feasible. \nPresenter\nKYLE METZ Kyle is a petroleum geologist and project manager at Parsons.
