Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) is one of today’s most significant environmental issues, and it is being addressed around the world at aviation, industrial, manufacturing, and wastewater treatment facilities. Parsons is combining its unique PFAS investigation approaches with Battelle’s patented PFAS analytical and site investigation technologies to deliver a unique and highly advanced approach to quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively investigate potential PFAS impacts and understand PFAS liabilities.
Parsons’ investigation approach utilizes rapid data production, real-time data interpretation, and three-dimensional model updates to actualize field-based decision making and bring more value to the investigation dataset. Battelle’s investigation technologies include source tracking for PFAS, total organofluorine method to determine PFAS presence, fate and transport modeling specifically designed for PFAS, passive PFAS sampling devices, and an optimized total oxidizable precursor assay.

About the Presenters:
DAN GRIFFITHS, PG – Dan is Parsons’ PFAS Practice Director and Subject Matter Director for the Groundwater Restoration Practice. He has 25 years of experience, specializing in complex environmental site investigations and remediation. He is a registered geologist and a Parsons Fellow.
KAVITHA DASU, PHD – Kavitha is Battelle’s PFAS Lead Chemist. She has 13 years of experience working on PFAS research. She is currently Principal Investigator for Battelle’s PFAS Signature® and total organofluorine method. She is a member of the Battelle Technical Council.
