Rapidly increasing investment in sustainable construction, environmentally friendly technologies, and renewable energy infrastructure has sparked an energy revolution in the MENA region.

Billions of dollars are being poured into the construction and energy sectors as companies look to create a new ecosystem of green construction technologies and alternative energy solutions, with government bodies often leading the way.

This year, the Energy & Sustainability Summit will focus on the growing global focus on investing into green construction methods, supporting start-ups in the green built environment, and the rise in off-grid and alternative and renewable energy solutions – particular green hydrogen, solar and wind.

The Summit will also welcome companies and speakers who are exploring and researching sustainable building solutions, ranging from products, through to systems and technologies.

Mobility that’s both smart and sustainable is absolutely crucial in every city with economic growth and sustainable development aspirations. Hence, an increasing number of cities are rolling out plans and strategies to enhance mobility and significantly cut emissions. This panel discussion seeks to put into focus topics including:

– Public transportation vs. private transportation – what does the future look like for personal mobility in a region that is obsessed with vehicle ownership and has harsh summers?
– How can the transportation sector in the region be decarbonized effectively – what are the opportunities and challenges for decisionmakers and operators?
– There’s growing discussions around 15-minute cities around the globe – can this concept work in the Middle East? What are the challenges that would need to be addressed and what benefits would such a concept offer?
– The large-scale adoption of EVs introduces a number of new questions with regards to the rollout of charging infrastructure, the disposal of expended batteries etc. How can these and other issues be approached?
-Could the Metaverse and other virtual reality experiences be a gamechanger and alleviate some of the burden on transportation systems and therefore help cut emissions?
