Building Career Foundations for the Community

On January 20, candidates for a free craft-labor development program were welcomed by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), the Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Los Angeles Southwest College, the County of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council at an orientation for the second class of the HireLAX program. This workforce development program prepares local residents for construction careers to support the multibillion-dollar capital improvement program at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Parsons designed and implemented the HireLAX program, which targets local, veteran, and diversity hiring as part of our contract to administer LAWA’s Project Labor Agreement for the $14 billion capital improvement program at LAX.

Good luck to the second class on their journey through this program!
