Parsons Parsons

Project Description

Parsons conducted the environmental impact statement (EIS) and preliminary engineering (PE) for the 11-mile West Corridor light rail transit (LRT) from downtown Denver, west through the City of Lakewood, then on to the City of Golden, with part of the alignment using abandoned Associated Railway trackage and right-of-way purchased by the Regional Transportation District in the late 1980s.

  • end-of-line early action planning;

  • travel demand and ridership forecasts;
  • capital and operating cost estimates;
  • development of station area planning and design in cooperation with neighborhood plans;
  • parks facility design;
  • pedestrian and bicycle facility planning and design;
  • Transit Oriented Development opportunities analysis;
