- Revenue Management Changes
- AFC System Contract Management and Technical Support
- Compliance Plans for Privacy and Security of Data and Data Networks
- Smart Card Readiness Planning
- Customer Service Planning

- Contracted Services Delivery Requirements
Parsons has assisted medium and large transit agencies in preparing the needs assessment for EPS by providing the guidance and technical management related to system procurement and implementation. Parsons can assist transit agencies in developing plans to address system needs for magnetic ticket and smart card based systems and all facets related to these projects from engineering design to operations planning. Recently, issues related to privacy, balancing data collection and addressing privacy protection have become hot button issues that need attention when deploying state-of-the-art EPS systems.
Over 20 years experience in the EPS business has allowed Parsons to be on top of the current developments and challenges related to technology, procurements, installation, and system testing as we serve many transit agencies with their pilot programs, test trials and longer term system implementations.
As an example, Parsons recently started assisting the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) in developing alternatives for modernizing their aging fare collection system. This project is not only focused on technology and introducing smart cards. That is merely the sizzle. As part of this project, Parsons looks at the universe of options and issues the Authority must evaluate before buying the technology. It is about a "system" that can include a multitude of functional requirements for devices that are often associated with data collection and management.
Electronically connecting a bus farebox system to CAD/AVL and Destination Sign system, and subway system Fare Vending Machines to SmartStations (closed circuit television [CCTV] cameras, operation control systems, and other security system monitoring devices) are just a few examples of our recent projects that take integration into consideration
Our strength is in managing the deployment of technical solutions and preparing implementation readiness plans.
