Parsons Parsons

Project Description

Parsons provides engineering, design and construction support for Network outside plant facilities in a four-state region. Having designed more than 50,000 jobs annually, Parsons has done a number of large interoffice fiber projects, SONET rings and dark fiber projects. In addition, Parsons designs all of the digital loop electronics necessary to support both fiber and copper-based systems.

Parsons performs records research, coordinates with internal and external customers, designs outside plant facility authorizations (including aerial, buried, underground, and submarine copper and fiber, as well as poles, lines, conduit, manhole systems, Digital Loop Electronics, air pressure systems and other related components), prepares cost estimates, coordinates interfaces during design, construction and posting phases, inputs information into relevant records and databases, tracks facilities growth needs in each service region, and supports any disaster recovery efforts which may arise.

Parsons also acquires right-of-way for outside plant facilities and gets any permits required for the use of public right-of-way.
