Program Developed to Ensure Sustainability of Military Training Ranges
The U.S. Army has awarded Parsons 62 task orders for the Army Sustainable Range Program. This program was developed to ensure sustainability of its military training ranges, lands, and operating areas. Parsons was chosen to provide comprehensive technical services in support of this effort at the Department of the Army, major command, and Installation Management Agency’s military installations and range complexes within the United States.
There When You Need Us
With so many soldiers dedicated to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, there just aren’t the internal resources available to handle a program of this scope. It was imperative that Parsons get involved, and we were able to bring highly capable former and retired military personnel to the program. Additionally, Parsons was there to provide many innovative solutions to the challenges the Army faced. For example, when our Integrated Training Area Management team, located in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, was asked to construct a 70-acre tactical training base, we finished the job in just 70 days, saving the government hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Adding Value by Delivering Excellence
Parsons has been chosen for this program so many times because we add value to every job by delivering excellence. Not only did we have employees who understood the specific needs of the project from an insider’s point of view or save the government thousands of dollars by working at breakneck speed, but one of our very own employees was recognized for having made the single most significant contribution to the mission for the 7th Army Training Command in Germany, in 2007. The nod marked the first time a contractor received this recognition. Finally, we have remained on schedule since the program’s inception in 2004, have had zero reported accidents, and received OSHA’s Perfect Record Award for 2007.
