Parsons Parsons

Project Description

In Pennsylvania, Parsons operates and manages all of the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) activities for the emissions testing Program. The decentralized emissions testing program consists of 6,800 emissions testing stations that inspect approximately 7.4 million vehicles annually. The QA/QC program covers all aspects of the decentralized operations, including covert and overt station auditing, software/equipment certification, data management, training, waiver issuance, operate referee program, hold hearings and serve suspensions as ordered by the DOT.

When requested, Parsons participates in public, community, and business events by delivering presentations and information sessions to any group interested in learning or promoting the Pennsylvania Emissions Inspection Program. Parsons also actively participates in the judicial process- if a station or an inspector is charged with a program offense, we provide expert testimony at prosecution hearings.

Parsons also audits nearly 12,000 safety inspection stations in Pennsylvania.

As illustrated in Pennsylvania, when it comes to vehicle inspection and compliance, Parsons goes the extra mile—with integrity.
