Project Description
Based on a thorough proposal and positive feedback from representatives of the vehicle inspection programs in New Jersey, Georgia, Ontario, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, the State of Louisiana awarded Parsons a substantial vehicle inspection equipment and database contract.
Louisiana hired Parsons to provide state-of-the-art on-board diagnostic (OBD) test equipment, equipment specifications, and custom software for inspection equipment as well as a vehicle inspection data management system. The new data management system will include communication software used to transmit data to and from the inspection station test equipment and the database as well as a user-friendly, real-time reporting interface. Parsons enthusiastically agreed to provide training, documentation, and a call center to support the deliverables, all in the interest of reducing pollutants and emissions in the state.
