PASADENA, CA (November 1, 2011) – Parsons is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the first package released by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Housing as part of a program to build 500,000 houses over the next few years. This initial package comprises 32 million m² of land area divided into 11 sites spread across the Kingdom. Each site covers a different area, ranging from 10 million m² in Dammam to 729,000 m² in Khamis Mushayt.
Under this contract, Parsons will be responsible for master planning, neighborhood planning, infrastructure design, and the design of various housing types, as well as construction supervision of all eleven developments.
