Parsons Employee Donation-Matching Program for Haiti Exceeds Goal

PASADENA, CA (February 19, 2010) – Parsons today announced it has exceeded its goal of raising $150,000 in response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti. As a result of the employee matching-donation program it established on January 20, 2010, the company exceeded its goal by more than $70,000 for a total of $220,000+.

Donations came in from across the corporation and ranged from $5 to $5,000. In addition to the monetary contributions, medical, nonperishable food, and other essential supplies were also collected and donated to assist with relief efforts.

“We are delighted, but not surprised, by the fact that—despite trying economic times—Parsons employees have stepped forward to raise the bar on providing much-needed relief to the people of Haiti. They recognize that giving more, not less, is what is needed in challenging times,” stated Chuck Harrington, Parsons’ Chairman and CEO.

The funds raised will go directly to relief efforts coordinated by The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and the American Red Cross. Currently, Parsons is also working on several other ways to assist Haiti relief efforts. Since its inception in 1944, Parsons has given back to communities around the world.
