Parsons transforms communities

Parsons builds everything a community needs to support its residents:  state capitol buildings, libraries, museums, parks, parking structures, conference centers, prisons, juvenile detention facilities, courthouses, fire and police stations, and other office and administrative space. The evidence is everywhere you look. We’ve completed thousands of projects, totaling billions of dollars. In addition to facility condition assessments, master planning, design, and construction services, we bring our professional excellence and experience to help owners achieve their goals easily, meet their requirements, and save time and money. By joining our team, our professionals have a positive affect on communities by helping design and construct public buildings that make a difference.  And with Parsons behind them, our customers shape and transform a community’s identity with sophisticated structures that lay the foundation for success.

When you need to meet challenges

Parsons knows the most effective processes that balance the budgetary, technical, and aesthetic concerns associated with the design and construction of LEED-certified buildings. We consider the impact of construction while facilities are operational—foremost are safety, historic restoration, and transit and pedestrian integration. We also account for stringent seismic building requirements as well as their environmental and weather-related impacts.

Parsons meets its challenges because we understand the value of support, savings, solutions, and sustainability:

  • Support. Our working relationships with the construction community enable us to blend people and projects for optimum project performance.
  • Savings. We recruit professionals with reputations as innovators. Our experts constantly look for ways to improve performance and drive value and cost savings into projects. We understand the detailed planning involved in construction projects of public building.
  • Solutions. We use cutting-edge technologies to streamline processes, including IMPACT, our proprietary project controls software; Comet, our proprietary facility condition assessment technology tool; and BIM (building information modeling), a digital representation of the building process that facilitates exchange and interoperability of information in a digital format.
  • Sustainability. With more than 230 LEED-accredited professionals, we’ve managed the development of more than 3 million square feet and $3 billion in LEED-certified projects. The largest and first public-sector LEED project—the Capital Area East End Complex, in Sacramento, California—was the first gold-level LEED project in the state and received platinum certification.

Parsons’ design-build measures limit risk and ensure the delivery of new structures on schedule and within budget. We are experts in seamlessly integrating space with adjacent uses by challenging the ideas of the architect as we design, reconstruct, and rehibilitate dozens of historic buildings in need of recovery after natural disasters. When considering us for managing a project or building a career, remember that we employ some of the most creative minds in the engineering and construction industry who are capable of handling any project.
