Parsons Parsons

Project Description

This new manufacturing facility is used for the production of LEUKINE(r), a therapeutic protein used for treating bone marrow transplant patients. The manufacturing facility includes unit operations such as fermentation, cell culture, product recovery, and purification to a sterile bulk product.

The first seminar included internal EPA training. The other two seminars included major water and wastewater utilities in the U.S. western and eastern regions.

Parsons designed the plant to meet all current good manufacturing practices requirements for cleanability, sterility control, biocontainment, personnel, material, and product flows.
