Parsons provides designs, construction, and testing support for large blast and thermal shock facilities capable of simulating the combined effects of various nuclear weapons. These simulators test tactical systems and components to identify vulnerabilities and verify their ability to withstand explosions.

By analyzing secondary blast effects such as infill pressure, fragmentation, and progressive collapse, we can determine likely personnel exposure with greater accuracy.

We provide these services for a variety of institutions including military facilities, embassy compounds, and industry control rooms that are vulnerable to terrorist attacks or accidental explosions. we have designed structures to resist vehicle bombs of up to 4,000-pound equivalent TNT charges.
