Project Description
Parsons is providing, on a task order basis, a full range of nuclear engineering and remedial design engineering services for both new and existing facilities. These services consist of studies, cost estimates, design criteria development, design, and construction support services for the decontamination and decommissioning of gaseous diffusion plants, closure of nuclear waste disposal sites, removal of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and closure of underground storage tanks for radioactive materials. Selected tasks completed include:
- Transuranic waste repackaging and storage facility design
- PCB cleanup
- Contaminated groundwater plume interception and treatment
- Building decontamination and decommissioning planning
- Management of major building reroofing
- Mixed waste treatment facilities design
- Numerous cap and closure assignments
