Project Profile
Up-to-date training ranges on land, air, sea, or under water are vital components to U.S. military readiness. Parsons is working under two contracts for both east coast and west coast Navy TAP programs to support their missions. In a 10-year contract to the U.S. Naval Engineering Command Center, Parsons was tasked with ensuring sustainability of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet. Similarly, Parsons is a joint venture partner in a 10-year contract to support the U.S. Pacific fleet. For both contracts, Parsons provides comprehensive technical services at various U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps range complexes.
The concepts and guidelines of Parsons' comprehensive Safety, Health, and Risk Program (SHARP) have been encapsulated into each task order, including the use of location-specific business continuity plans specifying safety requirements applicable to each Parsons location.
Parsons' services help protect the operational capability of training ranges from lack of maintenance, obsolescence of infrastructure, noncompliance with environmental regulation, and the pressures imposed by airspace restrictions and urban growth. Combined with the Army Sustainable Range Program, Navy TAP firmly establishes Parsons as the leader in range sustainability for the DoD, and provides the corporation with a platform to expand into a full range of services as each of these programs mature.
