Project Description
Parsons provides major operational, technical, and management support services to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory. Parsons' tenure at the lab has been marked by consistently outstanding award fee ratings. These ratings are a testament to Parsons' ability to deliver innovative engineering solutions for complex problems while completing tasks on time and within budget and providing a value-added product to DOE. Parsons' scope is predominantly research facilities operations. Support of research and development operations includes:
- Preparing standard operating procedures
- Preparing startup plans
- Preparing operating plans
- Completing the total test program
- Collecting and analyzing experimental data in hard copy and electronic form
- Providing management support (business operations, regulatory compliance, quality control, and work planning, scheduling, and coordination)
- Providing facilities maintenance (mechanical and electrical services)
- Providing special services (emergency services, event support, and service request tasks)
Parsons business practices provide an effective management style that allows flexibility to respond to the lab's inquiries and requests. For example, when DOE reorganized, Parsons quickly responded with a matrix organization that allowed ever-increasing levels of work to be effectively completed with shrinking resources.
Since the inception of this contract, every task assignment has been accomplished within budget, and all planned schedules and milestones completed on time.
