Project Description

Under a master services agreement with the commercial development arm of Sony Corporation, Parsons provided a wide range of technical and management services for new Urban Entertainment Center projects in San Francisco, Tokyo, and Berlin.

San Francisco

Sony Metreon is a 525,000-square-foot, mixed-use entertainment center. Its use of the latest technology and its prominent location, next to the Moscone Center and Yerba Buena Park, emphasize its importance in the urban San Francisco entertainment landscape. Major spaces include 16 theaters, including an IMAX theater, themed entertainment space, themed play areas, themed multimedia spaces, and a themed networked computer gaming environment, high-end specialty retail stores, and restaurants.

Tokyo

Sony Mediage is a 300,000-square-foot segment of the 900,000-square-foot Aqua City complex in Odaiba, Tokyo. It includes multiplex cinemas, high-end specialty retail, food services, themed play areas, themed networked computer gaming environment, and a simulator ride themed attraction space.

Berlin

The Music Box is a 30,000-square-foot urban entertainment center at the Sony Center in Berlin. It consists of 6 major venues themed about music.
