ENR magazine's April 21, 2008, issue ranks the 2008 Top 500 Design Firms. Based on 2007 data. Parsons was ranked #1 in Telecommunication for the eighth year in a row. Parsons was ranked #9 overall for Design. Parsons’ Hazardous Waste rank was #4. In Manufacturing, Parsons was ranked #11, and was ranked #9 in Transportation. Parsons’ General Building rank is #9, and Parsons’ International Markets rank is #17. In Industrial Process/Petro, Parsons once again ranked #19.

Parsons is planning and overseeing construction of the Shchuch’ye Chemical Weapons Destruction Facility (CWDF), Russia’s first chemical weapons destruction facility, to destroy chemical weapons in a safe and ecologically protective manner.

Parsons is selected by the American Segmental Bridge Institute (ASBI) to receive the 2003 "ASBI Bridge Award of Excellence". ASBI provides an international forum for bridge owners, designers, contractors and suppliers to discuss new innovations and resolve challenges to advance the quality of segmental bridges. Two of Parsons bridge projects, the “Big I” Interchange in Albuquerque New Mexico, and the Foothills Parkway Bridges project in Blount County Tennessee, were selected to receive awards for this inaugural competition.
